Conversations about possible collaborations

UNESCO Chair John Johnston met with the minister of education of the Seychelles, Dr. Justin Valentin, together with the source of Issues Based Arts Education, Mr. Martin Kennedy, who lives and works on the Islands.

The meeting discussed the possibilities of organising a UNESCO chair in Seychelles. Also discussed were the possibilities of establishing a partnership with ArtEZ University of the Arts to jointly set up a teacher training programme. This would improve the capacity of local teachers, specifically in the arts. Many thanks to Mr Kennedy for his hospitality and the inspiring conversation with Dr Valentin.
